Participants
in the Public Housing program will have to pay 30% of their adjusted monthly income to the
Housing Authority as their monthly rental fee. In computing their adjusted monthly income,
residents will include elderly or handicapped disability payments or dependent allowances
for those under 18, but subtract child care, or medical expenses for the elderly.
Residents also have to pay their own utility charges. The primary utility charges are for
electricity and propane. These two utilities are used for the unit's furnace, water
heater, refrigerator and cooking stove. The Housing Authority does provide a propane tank
for each unit, and the resident can select any propane company they want. |

Tierra Amarilla residents will have to pay
their water bill.
All tenants are required to pay for their own trash.
A monthly bill will be mailed by the Solid Waste
Authority
